Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

Day-1
Arrive at New Halflong Railway Station ( ideally by Vistadome Train) or by road.

• Check into a Hotel/ Homestay and visit the Central Halflong Lake for boating and suncet view.
• Explore local market in the evening for traditional crafts.

Day-2
Cultural and Historical sightseeing ( Jatinga & Maibong).

• Morning visit Jatinga Village ( famous for the bird mystery ) and the surrounding viewing points.
• Afternoon drive to Maibong (approx 45 km from Halflong) to see the ancient ruins of the Kachari Kingdom and the Mahur River.
• Evening return to Halflong and visit the local ethinic villages to experience tribal culture.

Day-3
Nature & Departure ( Panimoor/ Borail)

• Morning visit Panimoor waterfalls, where the Kopili River creates a scenic, gushing falls, or explore the flora at Borail wildlife Scantury.
• Afternoon enjoy a final walk through the Halflong Hill station viewpoint before departure.

Key Details :
Best time to visit is October to April, through winter ( November 2 Ferbruary) is best for bird watching in Jatinga.
